Effectively exploiting potential and advantages, prioritizing the development of 3 pillars

In 2023, Bac Binh district has made efforts to overcome difficulties, proactively promoting its potential and strengths to implement the socio -economic and defense-security plans to ensure the requirements of the assigned tasks. In particular, there have been positive changes in the direction of development, creating momentum to successfully implement the goals of the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021 - 2025.

According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Binh district, the year 2023 has marked a special mark for Bac Binh district in terms of outstanding results in socio-economic, defense and security aspects in the direction of development and stability. Notably, the budget collection work has so far exceeded the 5-year plan (2020 - 2025) according to the Resolution of the District Party Congress (term XII) (plan 1,000,342 million VND, revenue 1,142,449 million VND). Budget estimates are managed in accordance with regulations; during the year, 7 sources of revenue exceeded the estimate. In the field of renewable energy, the district has 9 solar power plants in operation with a total output of 1,014 million kWh, total revenue estimated at 2,113 billion VND; 3 wind power plants in operation with a total output of 423 million kWh, total revenue of 831 billion VND. Industrial production continues to remain stable, contributing to job creation and stabilizing budget revenue.

In addition, the district has successfully organized the event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of Bac Binh district (June 1, 1983 - June 1, 2023). The works and tasks to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the re-establishment of the district have been effective and received high consensus from the people; successfully coordinated the organization of activities to welcome the National Tourism Year 2023 " Binh Thuan - Green Convergence" with many new tourism products and services and set 2 Guinness records (Motorcycle Festival and Kite Festival, the largest kite in Vietnam) attracting nearly 320,000 visitors (an increase of 81% over the same period in 2022); along with that is the launching and implementation of the movement "Urban beautification, preserving and protecting the environment, green, clean and beautiful landscape".

In addition, the district has also effectively carried out compensation and site clearance for key projects in the area such as: North-South Expressway; Song Luy Reservoir (Phase 2); Phan Thiet Airport. At the same time, it has basically resolved a number of pressing issues that have existed for many years, such as domestic water for people in Phan Hoa and Phan Ri Thanh communes; bridge over Song Luy village, Binh Liem commune, Phan Ri Thanh commune...

Entering 2024, Bac Binh continues to promote the implementation of tasks and solutions to shift the economic structure towards Industry - Services, Tourism - Agriculture. Improve the effectiveness of implementing 3 National Target Programs: Building new rural areas; sustainable poverty reduction and socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. Strengthen the application of science and technology in production, business and management; focus on human resource development, administrative reform, digital transformation; improve people's lives, ensure national defense, maintain political security, social order and safety; create clear, comprehensive and solid changes in all fields. In particular, the district continues to effectively exploit the potentials and advantages of the district; prioritize the development of 3 pillars (industry, services - tourism and agriculture), link economic restructuring with growth model transformation, improve the quality, efficiency and competitiveness of the economy...
