Urgently overcome the consequences of floods in Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai

On October 1, the Ministry of Construction issued Document 10882/BXD-VT&ATGT implementing the Prime Minister's direction in Official Dispatch No. 181/CD-TTg dated September 30, 2025 on urgently overcoming the consequences of floods in Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai provinces. According to forecasts, floods will continue to develop complicatedly in the above provinces.

Accordingly, to focus on quickly overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, proactively responding to the risk of landslides and flash floods, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property, the Ministry of Construction requests the Vietnam Road Administration and the Department of Economics - Construction Investment Management: according to the assigned functions and tasks in project management, to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to organize inspections and guide the work of ensuring safety for construction activities during the rainy and flood season, especially ensuring the safety of labor force, machinery, vehicles, and construction equipment on highways in the mountainous areas, the Northern midlands and the North Central region, to prevent human casualties and minimize property damage.

The Departments of Construction shall proactively advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to direct relevant agencies and units to organize inspections and provide guidance on ensuring safety for construction activities during the rainy and flood season, especially ensuring the safety of labor, machinery, vehicles and construction equipment on the assigned roads, preventing human casualties and minimizing property damage.
