The whole district has more than 177 hectares of crops damaged, of which 98 hectares of rice and nearly 80 hectares of corn were destroyed.

Military and militia forces joined in helping people overcome damage caused by heavy rain.

Leaders of Vinh Loc district went down to the grassroots to direct units, mobilized maximum military forces, militia and civil servants to coordinate with communes and towns to immediately deploy measures to drain water, and forced the flooded rice fields to be arranged into clusters to prevent rice seeds from germinating on the panicles.

Nearly 80 hectares of corn were bent over due to thunderstorms.
