
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Major General Truong Minh Duong, Director of Lam Dong Provincial Police, emphasized that the SOC Center was built and operated with the goal of proactively monitoring, detecting and warning of risks and incidents of network security and information security; at the same time connecting with the National Cyber Security Center ( Ministry of Public Security ), helping to improve the effectiveness of protecting digital infrastructure and data of the government, businesses and people. At the same time, deploying solutions and measures to create a safe and reliable digital environment to promote the socio-economic development of Lam Dong province.

Implementing the Central Government's policy on unifying the State management focal point in the field of network information security, from March 1, the State management function of network information security in Lam Dong has been transferred to the provincial police. On that basis, the Provincial People's Committee has decided to invest in building the SOC Center - the "heart" of the network defense system of Lam Dong province.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the decision of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to appoint the Provincial Police as the specialized unit for network information security in Lam Dong province, the decision to complete the Provincial Network Information Security Incident Response Team, and the regulations on management and operation of the SOC Center.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi affirmed that this event marked an important step forward in the locality's digital transformation journey, demonstrating the province's high political determination in creating a safe and healthy "cyberspace", creating a solid foundation for building digital government, developing digital economy and digital society.

“This is not only a technical center, but also the command "brain", the warning "heart" and the "steel shield" that comprehensively protects the important information infrastructure of the Party, government, businesses and people in Lam Dong province,” emphasized comrade Ho Van Muoi.
According to the assessment of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention and Control, Ministry of Public Security, the current strong development of technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), big data... has brought great benefits to people. However, along with that, there are also many risks and major challenges in cyber security.

At the ceremony, Colonel Ha Van Bac, Deputy Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, suggested that Lam Dong Provincial Police continue to improve their capacity and potential to meet the requirements and tasks of the work; focus on investing in modern and synchronous technical means and systems to promptly detect, combat, and prevent cyber attacks, protect national security, and social order and safety in cyberspace.

The highlight of the ceremony was the simulation of a cyber attack situation and the process of detecting and handling incidents through the SOC system. Thereby, clearly demonstrating the monitoring and coordination capacity of the provincial police force.

After the launching ceremony, delegates visited the SOC Center and the technology exhibition space, with the participation of large telecommunications and information technology enterprises, such as VNPT, Viettel, Mobifone, FPT, Gtel, VSEC. Here, many advanced technology solutions, equipment, and software were introduced, contributing to connecting state management agencies with enterprises, creating a sustainable information security ecosystem.
