HNN.VN - On the afternoon of August 20, Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan, Head of the City Forest Protection Department, said that the Economic and Urban Infrastructure Department, Thuy Xuan Ward People's Committee, had just received a white pheasant, belonging to Group IIB, handed over by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc, a permanent resident of Thuy Xuan Ward. This is the first time that the commune-level government under the 2-level local government model has directly received a rare wild animal.

Receiving white pheasants from people

Immediately after that, the Department of Economics and Urban Infrastructure, the People's Committee of Thuy Xuan Ward coordinated with the City Forest Protection Department to hand over the white pheasant to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms of Bach Ma National Park to raise, care for and release it back into the natural environment.

The actions of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Loc demonstrate the sense of responsibility of the people in protecting wildlife, biodiversity and preserving rare genetic resources; contributing to raising public awareness in joining hands to conserve nature, protect endangered, precious and rare animal species in the city.
