Coach Kluivert was strongly opposed. |
The Seasia Goal (Indonesia) site created a fever in just 24 hours of conducting the survey, with more than 52,000 participants and the result was a shock. Up to 91.8% of fans (48,614 votes) requested #PatrickOut, while only 8.2% (4,364 votes) wanted coach Kluivert to stay (#PatrickStay).
This crisis of confidence is considered one of the biggest "vote of no confidence" ever faced by a Southeast Asian coach in 2025, and could be a precursor to an inevitable farewell.
According to Seasia Goal , this poll was conducted publicly, without editing or bias. However, the huge difference between the two choices shows the widespread dissatisfaction in the Indonesian football community towards the Dutch strategist.
The former football legend is under immense pressure following Indonesia’s poor run of results. Many fans believe the team has lost its identity, its vitality and its direction under his reign. The hashtag #PatrickOut is trending on social media platforms.
Some neutral opinions believe that Kluivert still deserves more time to correct the playing style and restore the fighting spirit of the team. However, with the almost overwhelming rate in the latest survey, his seat is no longer safe.
Kluivert led Indonesia for 8 matches, but the record was only 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses. After two losses (0-1 against Iraq and 2-3 against Saudi Arabia), Indonesia finished bottom of Group B, officially saying goodbye to the 2026 World Cup.
