Spreading love from the "Godmother" program in Cam Hong commune

QTO - On the morning of October 10, the Women's Union of Cam Hong commune organized the program "Godmother - Connecting love", to continue the movement of caring for, nurturing, and supporting orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances in the area. Attending were representatives of the provincial Women's Union leaders and organizations, businesses, and individuals.

After the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union launched the "Godmother" movement, the locality mobilized branches and donors to join hands to help orphans. Up to now, the commune has 12 children receiving long-term sponsorship; at the same time, the branches also maintain many fundraising models, such as: "Raising piggy banks", "Collecting scrap", "Couple of loving leaves" to support the study and living of orphans. The "godmothers" also regularly visit, encourage, and help the children develop in a safe, warm and loving environment.

At the program, the Women's Union of Cam Hong commune awarded the decision to sponsor 11 orphans, each child will receive 6 million VND/year in support. The funding was contributed by organizations, units, businesses and kind individuals, showing their sharing and accompanying the children on their journey to overcome difficulties, study and practice.

Along with material support, the "godmothers" will directly care for, encourage, guide life skills, take care of health, helping the children gain more confidence and support to grow up in a safe and healthy environment.
