Green nature mixed with modern life in Perth

After a flight of more than 6 hours, the Vietnam Airlines Boeing 787 gently landed at Perth Airport, located in Perth, Australia. Famous for its beautiful long coastline, warm Mediterranean-like climate and year-round blue skies, Perth is an ideal destination for those who love the unique combination of modernity and wild nature.

Morning

Perth greeted me with a beautiful sunny day, a light breeze and a slight chill in the morning. The weather was perfect for a walk in Caversham Wildlife Park, located in the Swan Valley, about 30 minutes drive from the center of Perth.

Caversham Wildlife is one of the most famous animal parks in Western Australia, where you can meet and interact with Australia's iconic animals. Here, I saw Kangaroos jumping freely in the large campus, welcoming visitors with mischievous looks. Koala bears easily capture your heart with their half-closed eyes as if they were dreaming because of eucalyptus leaves. In particular, it is impossible not to mention Quokka - the animal known as "the happiest animal in the world " because its face always seems to be smiling.

A visit to Caversham Wildlife is not just a walk but also an opportunity to immerse myself in nature and discover the animals that are typical of this country. Leaving the park, I headed to Swan Valley, a land famous for its rich vineyards and famous winemakers in Western Australia for nearly 200 years. Among them, I chose to stop at Sandalford Winery with a history of more than 180 years. The straight rows of grapes, sparkling in the sunlight, combined with the aroma of the land and sky, have created bottles of wine brewed with love and dedication. A lunch here with a tender and sweet beef steak, combined with a glass of famous Sandalford wine, is truly an unforgettable experience.

Noon

The journey continues with King's Park, one of the world's largest inner-city parks. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Swan River, walk the Lotterywest Federation Walkway or explore more than 3,000 rare native plant species. Not to be missed is the War Memorial, a solemn place to remember the fallen soldiers, and an ideal place to take photos with the Swan River as a backdrop.

Next, I visited Fremantle, a historic port city with an ancient beauty. Wandering on streets like High Street and South Terrace, I was lost in the flow of time when admiring the architectural works from the 19th century. Most of the houses here have been reused as pubs, restaurants, bookstores, hotels and many other service spaces. Around here, there is also the bustling Fremantle Market with a variety of items from souvenirs, home decorations, clothes to dishes with flavors from all over the world. Behind the market is Henderson Street, famous for its ancient limestone houses, where the prison guards used to live when they ran the old Fremantle Prison. Today, these houses are used as hotels for tourists, while the Prison has been recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage.

Perth is famous for its architectural works bearing the beauty of time.

Afternoon

As the day faded, on my way back to Perth CBD, I stopped at the iconic Blue Boat House on the Swan River. Described by CNN as the most photographed spot in Perth, the 90-year-old house is painted in a combination of blue and white to create an interesting highlight in the vast expanse of the Swan River. With its serene setting, the blue house in the middle of the water is a favorite photo spot for both tourists and locals.

Then I visited London Court, a small street with classic English architecture, located in the center of Perth. Built in 1937, this place used to be the trading center of gold miners. Passing through the gate with a large antique clock at the beginning of the street, I felt like I was entering another world in the heart of Perth. Walking between the shops, enjoying coffee and admiring the ancient space on the road connecting Hay Street and St Georges Street was an unforgettable experience.

As the sun slowly faded and the sky turned golden, I headed to Elizabeth Wharf to enjoy the cool breeze and the brilliant sunset over the Swan River, a perfect way to end the afternoon.

Evening

As night fell, I stopped by Forest Place, a vibrant central square with bright lights and a bustling atmosphere, perfect for strolling and enjoying street food .

A day in Perth brought me a harmonious combination of nature, culture and modern life. From a morning exploring wildlife at Caversham Wildlife Park, to an afternoon watching the sunset at Elizabeth Quay and an evening shopping in the city centre, the journey left me with unforgettable memories.
