There are 122 works in the final round of the National Press Award of the Culture sector.

On the afternoon of October 9 in Hanoi , the Third National Press Award "For the cause of developing Vietnamese Culture" in 2025 officially entered the final round, marking a vibrant, creative season that spread strong inspiration in the press community across the country.

In just nearly 4 months of launching, as of August 10 (according to the postmark ), the General Secretariat has received 1,040 press entries from most central and local press agencies.

This is a very high number for a specialized press award, especially in the context of press agencies streamlining their apparatus in the spirit of Resolution 18 of the Party Central Committee.

After a thorough screening process, 927 qualified entries were entered into the preliminary round (from August 30 to September 15, 2025).

Through independent assessment and focused discussion, the Preliminary Subcommittees selected 122 best works for the Final round, distributed according to press types.

Speaking at the opening of the final round, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh, Head of the Organizing Committee, affirmed that our Party and State always pay special attention to cultural development through the issuance of many Resolutions on culture.

Currently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is drafting the Resolution of the Politburo on the revival and development of Vietnamese culture in the new era. The Resolution, when issued, will create a strong driving force for the development of Vietnamese culture in the new period. With the positive changes in the development of Culture, Sports and Tourism in recent times, this will be the material for journalists to have more articles, for the cause of developing Vietnamese culture.

"In addition to honoring and encouraging journalists, the award is also a campaign to further spread inspiration to write about the cause of developing Vietnamese culture. Under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the final jury - journalist Le Quoc Minh, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the Council's work will continue to spread encouragement and inspiration to continue writing about Vietnamese culture," said Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh.

According to the assessment of the Preliminary Council, the entries for the Award were not only high in quantity and diverse in topics, but also of good professional quality, gathering many large and small press agencies at the central and local levels.

Mr. Tran Thai Son, Head of the Professional and Communications Department, Vietnam Journalists Association, said that the works all closely follow major topics, vividly reflecting important events of 2024-2025 in the fields of culture, information, sports, tourism and family.

"Some prominent topics that many groups of readers are interested in and exploit are the issue of culture rising in the new era of the nation, opportunities in building and developing the entertainment industry, the film market, the book market and reading culture; developing tourism, sports, building families, protecting children; preserving and promoting, the issue of preserving relics, Vietnamese cultural heritage, the culture of 54 ethnic groups in particular such as the worship of Hung Kings, worship of Than Nong, the belief in the Three Religions...," said Mr. Tran Thai Son.

The closing and award ceremony is expected to be held in November 2025 in Hanoi, with the participation of leaders of the Party, State, Ministries, Central Committees and branches, press agencies and outstanding journalists. The event is a festival for journalists in the cultural field, a forum for exchange, sharing experiences and spreading creative inspiration./.
