Talking about the difficulties during filming, director Timothy Linh Bui mentioned two injuries of Tran Ngoc Vang and Trinh Thao. Accordingly, Trinh Thao once dislocated his shoulder but still tried to suppress the pain to perform the whole scene. As for Tran Ngoc Vang, an unexpected accident on set caused him to be rushed to the emergency room at that time.

Sharing on the sidelines with reporters of Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, the actor born in 1998 said that the scene took place near the Lunar New Year, and was also the last scene to be filmed before the film crew wrapped up. But before the crew could finish filming, an unexpected accident occurred, forcing him to be hospitalized for treatment.

“It was an action scene, but due to carelessness, I accidentally hit my head on the ground. Because I was not conscious at that time, everyone in the crew was worried and arranged for an ambulance to take me to the hospital. I only heard the story from the crew, but at that time I don’t remember anything, there are absolutely no memories of that time. It didn’t exist, it’s not that I experienced it and forgot it” - Tran Ngoc Vang recounted.

The actor revealed that he was discharged the next morning but his neck still had to be bandaged for several days before it could be removed. Doctors diagnosed him with temporary amnesia.

In The Sun Man, Tran Ngoc Vang plays Nhat - a vampire but is simpler and more reserved than Marco (Thuan Nguyen). More specifically, Marco and Nhat are two brothers. This relationship, although an eternal link between the two characters, is also the biggest challenge they will have to face in life.

Actor Thuan Nguyen said he had to go through 6 auditions. At first, he was quite skeptical when he learned that this was a movie about vampires. He asked the director why he was so bold in making this movie and was told that if he did not like the script after reading it, he could return the role.

However, when reading the script, Thuan Nguyen burst into tears and immediately accepted the role. According to him, vampires are just a superficial story because there are many things inside to exploit.

For actress Chi Pu, after the success of her role in Chi Chi Em Em , she set strict standards for herself in choosing new roles. Chi Pu said she wanted to receive a role that was completely different from what she had ever portrayed. When she learned that this was the most beautiful and evil role, she decided to accept it.
