Responding to the National Tourism Year 2016 program: Phu Quoc - Mekong Delta organized by Kien Giang province, Thanh Nien Newspaper Joint Stock Company coordinated with Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kien Giang province to organize an art program taking place at 8:10 p.m. on February 22 at Ha Tien Town Square, broadcast live on VTV9 channel.

Not only is it the ceremony to announce the National Tourism Year, it is also the opening ceremony of the festival celebrating the 280th anniversary of the founding of Tao Dan Chieu Anh Cac (1736 - 2016) and the ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the Ramsar site - U Minh Thuong National Park. Therefore, the art night can be considered one of the most invested and staged programs in Ha Tien up to this point, with the participation of singers: Meritorious Artist Thanh Nam, Meritorious Artist Que Tran, Anh Tuyet, Quang Dung, Duc Tuan, Vo Ha Tram, Quy Binh, Han Thai Tu, runner-up of The Voice Kids 2013 Phuong My Chi, MTV group, Tong Hao Nhien, poetry reciter Minh Khoi with 2 MCs: Hong Anh - Binh Minh and artists and actors of Ha Tien Town Cultural Center, Kien Giang Province Cultural Center.

Director Thai Huan said that with that meaning, through music and poetry, he "painted" a bright picture of his homeland, generalizing the land of the Mekong Delta, especially Kien Giang - home to Phu Quoc Island, the theme locality of the National Tourism Year and Ha Tien - where this event took place.

With a structure of 3 parts: U Minh cajuput scent, beloved Ha Tien, Vietnam on new days, in the diversity of music genres: folk songs, light music, traditional and modern music... along with vivid images of Kien Giang's landscape, the program hopes to bring the audience an impressive "musical tour".

There, viewers will not only feel the beauty of the ten landscapes of Ha Tien, the places that have been mentioned in the poems of the talented governor Mac Thien Tich, but now, half of them are tourist attractions that cannot be missed when coming to this land. And there, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy the Chieu Anh Cac Tao Dan festival, the only Tao Dan festival still held annually in Vietnam, taking place in Kien Giang, to honor the creative labor achievements in the cultural field of our ancestors, reminding them of the responsibility to preserve and promote those values of the homeland and the nation. The audience will also have the opportunity to learn more about the custom of releasing flower lanterns on Dong Ho lagoon to pray for the country's prosperity, every family's prosperity, and everyone's peace. That is a typical traditional cultural feature of the people of Ha Tien, recreated on the water stage with 2 lotus ponds built on the square...

Singer combines performance and travel

After “researching” Ha Tien Thap Canh Tong Vinh (Mac Thien Tich) to prepare for a performance combining poetry recitation - singing, dancing - sand painting, sand painter Tri Duc said he was… fascinated, even though the emotion before that beauty only emanated from poetry, and immediately thought of making a plan to see these places. Meritorious Artist Que Tran shared that since childhood, she has gone to watch the Cai Luong play Wedding Dress in Front of the Pagoda by composer Kien Giang in which her father - People's Artist Thanh Tong played the role of Mac Thien Tich, in which the places in Ha Tien were mentioned, so this time returning to Ha Tien to perform is an opportunity for her to learn more about the scenic spots she had heard about from her father in the past, especially Phu Dung Pagoda.

Singer Quang Dung was impressed by the atmosphere of Ha Tien night market, near the old pontoon bridge area that he visited 10 years ago. "I definitely have to spend time to find the taste of the dishes here again," he said. As for singer Vo Ha Tram, because it was her first time here, and she heard that Kien Giang was very beautiful, she decided to take a tour during her performance with her friend - a professional photographer.
