The bright eyes and smiles on the children's faces and the joy of the officers, soldiers and people next to the lanterns make Con Dao more warm and affectionate.

To make the Mid-Autumn Festival more joyful and bustling, the units under the Command of PTKV 6 - Con Dao Special Zone have carefully prepared and meticulously decorated the lanterns. The most prominent models are the lantern models "Hands embracing the sovereignty milestone", symbolizing steadfastness and firmness at the forefront of the wind and waves; the model "Map of Vietnam" affirming sacred and inviolable sovereignty; the model "Vietnamese conical hat" simple but full of the soul of the countryside, the beauty of national traditions; or the model "Jade Rabbit" embodying the joy and dreams of children.

Senior Lieutenant Tran Van Quang, Political Commissar of Artillery Company 9, shared: “This is not only a simple cultural activity, but also a good tradition, connecting the army and the people. For us, the greatest joy is to contribute to taking care of the spiritual life of children, so that they can have a full moon season, filled with warmth and love.”

The lit lanterns not only bring innocent joy to children, but also symbolize the light of solidarity, of the love between the army and the people on the faraway island. In the middle of the sea and sky of Con Dao, those lanterns seem to shine more faith, hope and love, so that each Mid-Autumn Festival becomes more brilliant and joyful.

Captain Trang Van Ty, a political officer of the PTKV 6 Command Board - Con Dao Special Zone, affirmed: "Promoting the vanguard spirit of the youth, our officers and soldiers always consider activities like this an opportunity to strengthen the military-civilian relationship, while educating the young generation about love for the homeland, the sea and islands, and revolutionary traditions."

Not only stopping at the joy of Mid-Autumn Festival, those lanterns are also a vivid lesson for children about the spirit of solidarity, responsibility to preserve and cherish the traditions of the homeland. Each lighted lantern is a loving message to the children: Know how to dream, know how to preserve the roots and nurture in your heart the love of the country, love of the homeland's sea and islands.
