Ngoc Hoi gives away houses of gratitude, honors people with revolutionary contributions

To celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Liberation Day of Hanoi Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025) and the 18th Congress of Hanoi Party Committee, on October 10, the People's Committee of Ngoc Hoi commune organized the handover of a gratitude house to the family of Mr. Nguyen Viet Luong - a veteran, a person with meritorious services to the revolution, currently residing in Lac Thi village, Ngoc Hoi commune.

According to Decision No. 2672/QD-UBND dated May 27, 2025 of the Hanoi People's Committee on housing support for people with revolutionary contributions, Ngoc Hoi commune has 5 households receiving support, of which: 3 households build new houses, 2 households repair and renovate. Mr. Nguyen Viet Luong's family is one of three households receiving support for new construction in this period.

The project started on August 16, 2025, completed after nearly two months of urgent construction, ensuring quality and safety. The house has an area of ​​30 square meters, solidly built, covered with heat-resistant corrugated iron roof, tiled floor, neat and tidy space - a new, spacious and sturdy home for the family of a veteran who has devoted many years to the Fatherland. The total cost of building the house is nearly 139 million VND, of which the state budget supports 60 million VND, Ngoc Hoi Industrial Cluster enterprises support 40 million VND; family, relatives and the community support additional working days and materials of nearly 40 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Ngoc Hoi Commune People's Committee Ta Dang Doanh said that the house today not only has material value, but is also a great spiritual gift, expressing the affection and gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of Ngoc Hoi Commune towards those who sacrificed and contributed to the revolutionary cause. This is also a meaningful activity, spreading the beautiful tradition of "Drinking water, remember its source - repaying gratitude" of our nation.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Viet Luong emotionally expressed: "I am extremely grateful for the attention of the Party, the State, the government, organizations and businesses. This new house is my family's dream for many years, helping us to be more confident in life."
