From the youngest "youngest" of the tournament to national runner-up
Since 2022, the National Golf Championship has been included in the official system of VGA Tour and has become the pinnacle playground of Vietnamese golf, gathering the best golfers in the country, regardless of age or professional - amateur status.
In the first two seasons (2022 and 2023), Gia Han was always the youngest face, but competed with great courage to finish in the top 6. By 2024, the girl born in 2011 had a strong breakthrough, creating a thrilling championship race with her senior Le Chuc An and only had to stop at the runner-up position, just 1 stroke behind.

Entering this year's season, Gia Han carries both pressure and expectations. "Last year I finished second, this year of course I hope to do better. But for me, achievement is not the final destination. Each title is just a milestone on the long journey to conquer my dream. The important thing is to practice and improve every day," Gia Han shared.
This year, Gia Han experienced a big turning point when she had to say goodbye to her old coach. There was a time when she stagnated and lost confidence because her drives were not as good as expected. But everything changed since she started practicing with coach Luke Ringrose, one of the world's leading experts at the EPGA Academy.
Under his guidance, Gia Han has improved her technique and competition tactics, honed her patience, discipline and mental control, which are important factors to conquer the top arenas. Now, she is ready and confident to enter the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025.
Aspiration and courage
Gia Han's performance in 2025 is very impressive. In February, Gia Han won the first stage of the Hanoi Junior Tour. In April, Gia Han made history at the Hanoi Open when she became the first female golfer to win the professional division after a dramatic 3-person play-off at Corn Hill.
At Hello Spring - Road to Trang An Open, Gia Han made her mark with a 66 round, breaking the Trang An course record. This achievement earned her an invitation to the Trang An Open 2025, a tournament under the Thai LPGA Tour system held in Vietnam for the first time, opening up valuable opportunities to compete with the region's top female golfers.

Right before the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025, Gia Han also had a training session with the National Golf team, an important preparation step both professionally and mentally. "The National Golf Championship gathers the best golfers. I do not focus on achievements, but want to learn from both professional and amateur golfers, and importantly, play confidently, to the best of my ability."
This year, in Gia Lai, the 14-year-old girl continues to compete on the same field with the country's top golfers. Without noise, without pressure to win at all costs, Gia Han entered the tournament with strong belief: each round is a step forward, each shot is an experience, and the final destination is not just the cup, but also her own journey of maturity.
Gia Han came to golf very early. At the age of 8, she followed her father, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thanh, to the practice field. At that time, for Gia Han, golf was simply a curious physical game. But with the wholehearted support of her family, the small joy quickly became a big passion. Notably, Gia Han not only invested in studying systematically with international coaches, but also had her father accompany her in every practice session and every tournament, adding motivation for her to persevere in pursuing golf.
