Ba Ria-Vung Tau Theater brings musical to competition

The musical 24h Stage - Behind the Scenes is a work of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Theater (under the Department of Culture and Sports of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province) participating in the 2024 National Music and Dance Festival (currently taking place at the Binh Duong Provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, lasting until October 13 and closing and awarding on the evening of October 15).

With a duration of 80 minutes, nearly 120 actors participating in the performance, the musical Stage 24h - Behind the Scenes (script, song lyrics and general director: Master Tuyet Minh, music arrangement: Chinh Ba - Tinh Tuan, general choreographer: Meritorious Artist Minh Hung) includes 3 acts: Vung Tau from the frames , Conversations and Flying on the East Sea ; brings an emotional story about the life of a female director, from the happiness of the halo on stage to the struggles with the profession behind the rehearsal floor.

Artist Ngoc Quynh, Deputy Director of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Theater, said that this was the first time Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Theater staged and performed a professional musical, with some limitations, but the crew was very happy when the play was introduced to the public (the competition performance was on the evening of October 5). Choreographer - artist Tuyet Minh excitedly shared: "Although the investment budget was about 1/3 of a normal musical, the quality still reached a professional level." The theater also said that after the festival, the play will continue to be invested in and taken care of, both in terms of dialogue and stage effects, with the desire to bring 24h Stage to a wide audience.
