Many roads in Khanh Hoa were flooded in heavy rain.

At around 9am on October 16, many roads in the North Nha Trang and Nha Trang wards (Khanh Hoa) were submerged in water. The rain that started in the early morning caused localized flooding in some areas.

According to the reporter, heavy rain caused dozens of roads in Bac Nha Trang ward and Nha Trang to be flooded. Especially in Bac Nha Trang ward, some places were flooded from 20-40cm deep.

Many areas were heavily flooded such as 2/4 Street (Ponagar Tower), Pham Van Dong (near Hon Chong), Nguyen Khuyen, Bac Son, Mai Xuan Thuong... Authorities were mobilized and present at deeply flooded areas to direct traffic, not allowing people to enter deep, dangerous areas.

Ms. Le Thi Tuyet (residing in Bac Nha Trang ward) said that the torrential rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, quickly flooded the streets, leaving many residents unable to react. Flooded streets caused traffic congestion and made daily life difficult for residents.

The intersection between Bac Son Street and Pham Van Dong Street (North Nha Trang Ward) was also flooded.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the past 3 hours (from 4am to 7am on October 16), Khanh Hoa province has had moderate to heavy rain. Rain warning in the next 3-6 hours, Khanh Hoa province will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 20-40mm, in some places over 60mm.

In the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in many areas, especially in the communes and wards of Nam Ninh Hoa; Anh Dung, Bac Khanh Vinh, Bac Ninh Hoa, Cam Hiep, Cam Lam, Dien Dien, Dien Khanh, Dien Lac, Dien Lam, Dien Tho, Hoa Tri, Bac Nha Trang ward, Dong Ninh Hoa ward, Nam Nha Trang ward...
