(GLO)- Throughout the nation's revolutionary process, at any stage, mass mobilization work always plays a particularly important role, of strategic significance to the Party's revolutionary cause, contributing to consolidating the close relationship between the Party and the people, and building the great national unity bloc.

Glorious journey of mass mobilization work

76 years ago, on October 15, 1949, President Ho Chi Minh wrote the work "Mass Mobilization" published in the Truth Newspaper, affirming: Our country is a democratic country, all benefits are for the people, all powers belong to the people, the people's strength is very great, mass mobilization is very important. If mass mobilization is poor, everything will be poor. If mass mobilization is skillful, everything will be successful.

The work not only crystallizes Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on democracy but is also a profound and comprehensive handbook on mass mobilization work with full and profound instructions on the purpose, objects, tasks, and methods of mass mobilization work for government organizations, unions, and each cadre and party member... in response to the requirements of the revolutionary cause.

In October 1999, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh writing the work "Mass Mobilization", the 8th Politburo decided to take October 15, 1930 as the Party's traditional day of mass mobilization work; to take October 15 every year as "Mass Mobilization Day of the whole country" to promote studying and following the ideology, morality and mass mobilization style of President Ho Chi Minh, promoting the people's right to mastery and the spirit of solidarity and creativity in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Over 95 years of formation and development, the Party's mass mobilization work has increasingly affirmed its strategic role, contributing greatly to comprehensive achievements in the fields of economics, politics, culture, society, national defense, security, foreign affairs, etc.

That is also the foundation and driving force for mass mobilization work to increasingly promote the role of the people as the subject and strength, actively contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.

Continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of mass mobilization work

Nowadays, facing the new requirements of industrialization, modernization and international integration, especially the operation of the two-level local government model, mass mobilization work is of special importance.

Performing mass mobilization work well will help strengthen social consensus, build trust, and mobilize the strength of the entire people in implementing sustainable development goals.

In Gia Lai province, over the past years, the emulation movement "Skilled Mass Mobilization" has been comprehensively deployed, increasingly going into depth, affirming its role as a bridge connecting closely between the Party, the government and the people.

The movement has aroused the sense of responsibility and exemplary behavior of cadres and party members; promoted the role of village elders, prestigious people, religious dignitaries and the masses in building a new life.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Phong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - assessed: Thanks to the good implementation of mass mobilization work, many urgent issues of the people have been resolved promptly, creating social consensus, strengthening people's trust in the Party's leadership.

In 5 years (2020-2025), the whole province has built and replicated 5,813 "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models in all fields from economy, culture, society, national defense, security to Party building and political system.

From March 1, 2025, implementing the policy of reorganizing the Central apparatus, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department will merge into the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Immediately after the merger, the Committee promptly arranged and consolidated the organizational apparatus, actively advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to carry out propaganda and mass mobilization tasks in the fields of politics, ideology, ethics, propaganda, political theory, information, press, publishing, public opinion, culture, arts, Party history, local Party history and the fields of science and education, mass mobilization, ethnic and religious affairs, achieving many important results.

The Committee has directed the promotion of the role of propaganda and mass mobilization work in planning, building and implementing socio-economic development projects; and received comments from the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and people to contribute to Party and government building.

Organize well direct dialogues between leaders of Party committees and authorities with the people; receive citizens, promptly and legally resolve legitimate petitions and reflections of the people.

Along with that, focus on implementing democracy at the grassroots level, promoting people's mastery according to the motto: "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit"; strengthen the close relationship between Party committees, authorities and people, and enhance the great national unity bloc.

In particular, the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation has been effectively implemented; fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; maintaining the people's trust and the stability of the province. Foreign information work continues to receive attention, contributing to promoting the image of Gia Lai people and culture to domestic and international friends.

Promoting the 95-year tradition of the Party's mass mobilization work, the cadres and Party members of Gia Lai province continue to cultivate themselves, regularly study and follow the ideology, morality and mass mobilization style of President Ho Chi Minh; link mass mobilization work with the responsibility of setting an example; continue to innovate mass mobilization work in the direction of being close to the grassroots, truly "respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people, being responsible to the people", "listening to the people, speaking so that the people understand, making the people believe" to promote the mastery and strength of the people.
