To ensure effective disease prevention, control and response, and environmental sanitation after storms and floods, he requested the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to focus on directing departments, branches, sectors and localities to organize monitoring, early detection, zoning, and timely handling if there are signs of disease outbreaks. Be ready to admit and treat patients and have flexible response plans when an epidemic occurs.
He noted that in order to raise awareness and skills in disease prevention and control, the health sector needs to step up propaganda and guidance for people on disease risks and prevention measures as recommended by the Ministry of Health; paying special attention to personal hygiene and food safety. Strengthening coordination between the health sector and relevant departments, branches and sectors to effectively handle environmental and water resource issues; maximizing local resources, promoting the role of grassroots health care and volunteers.
