In Nenh ward, there are about 420 households (equivalent to about 1,900 people) in the area outside the dike of the residential groups: Nam Ngan, Dong Tien, Quang Bieu affected by flooding and having to evacuate people and property. Of which, Nam Ngan residential group was completely isolated. By the afternoon of October 10, the road to Nam Ngan was still flooded with several meters of water. Some households still stayed thanks to the convenient movement of motorboats.

Mr. Tran Van Tien, a resident of Nam Ngan, shared: “My house was flooded on the first floor, but the second floor was still habitable. I asked my relatives inside the dike to cook for me, and the whole family stayed to avoid the hassle of moving.” Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Chuc (62 years old) said that although there was no electricity or clean water, thanks to the support of the people, her family still had enough food and had a rechargeable fan to use.
Nam Ngan village has more than 300 households and about 1,500 people. Thanks to the initiative of the people and the close direction of the residential group, the relocation of assets took place early so no significant damage was recorded.

According to the representative of the leader of Nenh ward, the ward has directed the evacuation of areas at risk of flooding. Up to now, the isolated areas have been ensured to be safe and life is stable.
The ward has also made initial statistics of the damage, in which more than 200 hectares of rice and vegetables were affected, and wharves along the dike were also flooded; at the same time, the ward proposed the province for support, expected to receive 1.5 billion VND.
To limit damage caused by storms, the ward has organized a serious on-duty team to quickly handle any incidents that arise. A typical example is the water leak at the culvert leading to the Chu Xa - Dao Ngan pumping station. The authorities have coordinated with the Viet Yen Dike Management Department to promptly fix the problem, ensuring safety for the area.

The Viet Yen regional electricity management team also cut off power to all transformers at deeply flooded areas such as Nam Ngan 2, Nam Ngan 3, Dong Tien 4, to prevent electrical accidents from happening.

The Party Committee and People's Committee of the ward have issued many documents directing the response to storm No. 11, strengthening the Civil Defense Command, mobilizing resources for natural disaster prevention and search and rescue. Warning notices on the Cau River were issued promptly.
The ward also directed forces to be on duty 100% at dike guard posts, patrol along the dike, and handle violations that cause unsafety.

Mr. Vu Manh Son, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, informed that currently the water level of Cau River is still high, some residential groups are isolated, the ward continues to maintain on-duty, closely monitoring the changes in the water level of Cau River and the safety of the dike. He requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to receive support funds from the provincial level in accordance with the procedure, ensuring that people in areas outside the dike have access to necessities and safety of life.
With the proactive and decisive spirit and consensus of the Party Committee, government and people, Nenh ward has gradually overcome difficulties, stabilized life and protected the safety of people's lives and property during the flood season.
