Premier League dominates Golden Boy 2025 award

PSG's Doue is predicted to win the 2025 Golden Boy award.

The two giants PSG and Real Madrid lead the way with three faces. PSG has Doue, Zaire-Emery and Mayulu, while Real Madrid has Arda Guler, Franco Mastantuono and Dean Huijsen. Notably, Doue also finished 14th in the 2025 Ballon d'Or race, and also finished second to Yamal in the Kopa Trophy category for the best young player of France Football .

The award also saw the participation of many young stars from the Premier League including Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal), Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray (Tottenham), Estevao and Jorrel Hato (Chelsea), Leny Yoro (Manchester United), Nico O'Reilly (Man City) and Giovanni Leoni (Liverpool).

The Golden Boy award was created in 2003 and is held annually by Tuttosport to honor the best player under 21 years of age in the year. Each player can only receive the award once in their career, adding value and meaning to this noble title.

The current title holder is Lamine Yamal. The Barcelona star set a record as the youngest player to win the award in November 2024. However, the rules state that no one can win it twice, so Yamal is not included.

To be eligible, players must be born after January 1, 2005, and play in one of the top 25 European leagues (according to UEFA coefficients). This year's list is compiled from the Golden Boy Index, which includes the 20 highest-scoring players and five "wildcards" selected by the Tuttosport editorial team.

The winner will be announced next December.
