Vietnamese action game introduced by Apple

Many horror-themed games from Southeast Asia were selected by Apple to introduce specifically for the Halloween season.

As is the tradition every year, Apple introduces notable localized apps and games on special occasions. This year, the company mentioned 4 games from Southeast Asia, with new content updates in October to bring local culture into the horror stories.

The representative from Vietnam introduced by Apple is the game Soul Huntress by Panthera Studio, headquartered in Cau Giay ward, Hanoi . This is a 2D action game, just released in June.

Soul Hunter has just updated the event "The Phantom Howl Event", with the mission for players to rescue the ghost baby from the dungeon and confront the Dog Demon (dog in a hat). In addition to the Dog Demon, the development team also introduced other horror characters from folk tales such as Ma Da or Quy Nhi.

“These stories are very popular in Vietnam, containing supernatural elements that bring a feeling of both horror and mischief. This dark and mysterious theme perfectly fits the spooky and fun atmosphere of Halloween — that’s why we chose them for the event,” the Soul Hunter development team shared in Apple’s introduction.

In addition to Soul Hunter, Apple introduced other titles such as Tsuki Tea House: Idle Journey (The Carrot Studio, Singapore), SNAKE.IO (Kooapps, Philippines) and Selera Nusantara: Chef Story (Gambir Studio, Indonesia). These are all light-hearted games with simple puzzles, but are interwoven with local horror elements or urban legends.
