The Department of Health held a conference to review medical work for the first 9 months of 2025 and deploy tasks for the last months of 2025.

Implementing Plan No. 73/KH-SYT dated September 19, 2025 of Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health on organizing a 9-month medical work conference, deploying key tasks for the last months of 2025, on the afternoon of September 24, 2025, the Department of Health solemnly organized a 9-month medical work conference in 2025, deploying tasks for the last months of 2025.

The conference was held in person and online at two locations of Lao Cai Department of Health ( Yen Bai ward and Cam Duong ward). Associate Professor , Doctor Hoang Quoc Huong - Director of the Department of Health chaired the conference. Also attending the conference were comrades in the Department's Board of Directors; heads and deputy heads of professional departments; leaders of affiliated units; representatives of hospitals, regional medical centers and former leaders and retired officials.

The conference heard a report on the results of the implementation of tasks in the first 9 months of 2025. The health sector has proactively controlled the epidemic, prevented major epidemics from occurring, and promptly handled 22 outbreaks; effectively implemented activities to prevent non-communicable diseases, expanded immunization, reproductive health care, and school health. The total hospital bed occupancy rate in the province reached 98.1%, examined and treated over 2.6 million people, improved service quality, increased technology transfer, and remote medical examination and treatment. Food safety work was ensured, and 100% of events were monitored to prevent poisoning. The health sector has also performed well in population work - family planning, social protection, and prevention of social evils; promoted digital transformation, and completed electronic medical record appraisal at all hospitals and regional medical centers...

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and analyzing outstanding results, pointing out limitations such as: degraded facilities of some units, lack of modern equipment; lack of specialized doctors; difficulties in financial mechanisms, organizing new models after merger. Opinions proposed many solutions to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, ensure resources, promote digital transformation, attract investment in health care...

Concluding the conference, Associate Professor, Doctor Hoang Quoc Huong praised the efforts of the collective of workers, civil servants, and employees in the entire industry and requested the units to continue promoting the achievements, focusing on 9 key tasks in the last 3 months of the year: perfecting the organization of the health sector, strengthening the monitoring and prevention of seasonal diseases, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, ensuring adequate medicine and medical equipment, effectively implementing electronic medical records, accelerating the progress of national target programs, and preparing well for medical work to serve the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term...

Within the framework of the conference, the Department of Health organized a farewell ceremony for former leaders and specialists of departments and units who had retired, recognizing their important contributions to the cause of health care for the people of Lao Cai province.
