Luc Dau River resounds with festival drums - Sacred day of Kiep Bac military festival

On the morning of October 13, the Army Festival on Luc Dau River took place at the Thuong River dike, in front of Kiep Bac Temple gate, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hai Phong City, a unique army festival ritual in the Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025.

The military assembly on Luc Dau River is an important ceremony, demonstrating the heroic spirit of the army, recreating the image of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and his soldiers gathering under the flag, preparing to fight against foreign invaders. This is not only a sacred ceremony, but also a cultural activity imbued with national identity, restored since 2006 within the framework of the project to upgrade the Con Son - Kiep Bac festival directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

This year, the festival attracted about 5,000 participants, with more than 50 procession boats, 400 Nhat Nam martial arts students, 100 Tran Hung Dao ward honor guards, along with drums, dragon dances, lion dances from the villages of Duoc Son, Van Yen and residents of the river areas of Van Giang, Dong Trieu (Quang Ninh), Kien An ( Hai Phong ). The festival space was decorated with flags and flowers, creating a sacred and magnificent scene.

The Kiep Bac Autumn Festival is an occasion for people across the country to commemorate the merits of Saint Tran, arouse national pride, educate patriotic traditions and awareness of preserving Vietnamese cultural values.
