When asked about the semi-finals, coach Ikeda said the biggest goal of the Thai women's team right now is to defeat the Vietnamese women's team in the final match of the group stage.

Thailand girls want to end the group stage of the 2025 AFF Women 's Championship by winning Group A.

“Vietnam is a strong team, with good technique and a cohesive playing style. We have been monitoring and analyzing them to prepare as thoroughly as possible,” Mr. Ikeda commented on the final match of the group stage.

“Thailand's goal is to win all three points. That will not only help us top the group but also create psychological momentum before entering the semi-finals.”

According to coach Ikeda, meeting the Vietnamese women in the final round has special meaning because this is a fateful opponent.

The 54-year-old coach believes that the Thai women's team needs to maintain the same level of concentration as the last two matches, while improving their pressing and transitioning skills to limit their opponents' strengths.
