On October 10, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City said that in recent days, many organizations and individuals in the area have sent their condolences to people in the area that suffered heavy damage caused by storm Bualoi.
Among them, the story of Hoang Le Bao Quyen, a 7/9 grade student at Nguyen Hue Secondary School (Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City), moved many people. She and her mother donated 38.52 million VND - the entire amount Bao Quyen had saved in her piggy bank for over a year.
Bao Quyen shared that when she saw images on TV of houses and schools being deeply submerged in water, with people having to climb onto roofs to wait for rescue, she could not hold back her tears.
"I felt so sorry for her that I asked her permission to break her piggy bank to support her friends and compatriots in difficulty," Bao Quyen said.

Ms. Le Thi Kim Vui, Bao Quyen's mother, said that the family often does charity work so her daughter soon formed the habit of sharing.
“Last year, I also broke my piggy bank to support people in flood-hit areas. This year, seeing the heavy damage caused by the storm, I proactively offered to break my piggy bank again. My family is very supportive of my spirit,” said Ms. Vui.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, the amount of money donated by Bao Quyen and her family has been received and transferred to the Relief Fund to support people in the Northern and North Central provinces to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. This donation period was launched from October 7 to November 7, 2025.
Mr. Vo Thanh Phuoc, Principal of Nguyen Hue Secondary School, said Bao Quyen is a good, sociable, studious student and especially has a precious spirit of mutual love.
The little student's kindness not only spreads the spirit of sharing in the school, but also demonstrates the power of humanity - when love, no matter how small, can contribute to warming up a rural area struggling with natural disasters.
“Of the total of nearly 206 million VND that the school donated to support flood victims, Bao Quyen and her family alone contributed 10 million VND. After that, she continued to break her piggy bank and donated more than 38 million VND, bringing the total to nearly 50 million VND, a truly admirable gesture,” said Mr. Phuoc.
