Nguyen Tuan Anh won the title of Best Amateur (best amateur golfer) and also finished in the runner-up position. Entering the final day, only 1 stroke behind the leader Sarut Vongchaisit, the home golfer had a difficult start in the first 9 holes, and had to go to hole 13 with 4 birdies to raise his total score to 68 strokes (-4), thereby ending the tournament with a result of -16.
