Thong Lam Ban Chit - a new tourist destination on Lai Chau's tourist map

On October 21, 2025, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2662/QD-UBND on recognizing Thong Lam Ban Chit, Muong Than Commune as a tourist destination in Lai Chau province.

The recognition of Thong Lam Ban Chit as a tourist destination aims to exploit and promote the potential and advantages of natural landscape, culture and daily life of local ethnic groups; at the same time, contribute to promoting community tourism development, creating livelihoods, increasing income for people, linking tourism development with preserving and promoting good traditional cultural values.

According to the Decision, the People's Committee of Muong Than commune is responsible for organizing the management, exploitation and development of tourist attractions in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Tourism and current guiding documents; coordinating with relevant departments, branches, agencies and units in ensuring security, safety, environmental sanitation and service quality at tourist attractions.

The recognition of Thong Lam Ban Chit as a tourist destination continues to affirm Lai Chau province's efforts in developing tourism into an important economic sector, contributing to promoting the image of Lai Chau land and people to domestic and foreign tourists.
