According to the forecast of the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone (KTCK), the number of vehicles carrying import and export goods through the province in the last months of 2025 will increase by about 10 - 15% compared to previous months. With the increasing number of import and export vehicles, in order to avoid congestion of vehicles carrying goods at border gates, relevant departments, branches and functional forces are implementing measures to facilitate and improve the efficiency of customs clearance of goods.
Accordingly, customs at border gates prioritize procedures for import-export enterprises with shipments in the "green channel". At the same time, during the procedure, customs forces mainly focus on analyzing information on import-export goods, only conducting physical inspections when detecting shipments with signs of violations, thereby helping to shorten customs clearance time.

Ms. Cao Hoai Phuong, Deputy Head of the Customs Team of Huu Nghi International Border Gate (CKQT) said: To facilitate customs clearance at the end of the year, the unit has implemented solutions such as: increasing the arrangement of officers on duty continuously; closely coordinating with functional forces in regulating vehicles and applying information technology in processing documents. In addition, the unit maintains a hotline to support businesses and prioritizes quick customs clearance for agricultural products and perishable goods. From the beginning of October 2025 to now, the total number of vehicles carrying import and export goods cleared through the border gate has reached 14,151 vehicles; an average of 745 vehicles/day, an increase of about 200 vehicles/day compared to the beginning of 2025. In the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with relevant Chinese agencies to increase working hours to handle customs clearance procedures when necessary; Promote digitalization of business processes and improve procedures to shorten customs clearance time, contributing to promoting import and export activities of goods through the area by the end of 2025.
Along with Huu Nghi International Border Gate Customs, customs units at the province's border gates have also actively implemented many solutions to facilitate import-export enterprises. Mr. Nguyen Huu Vuong, Deputy Head of the Customs Branch of Region VI, said: To ensure quick, convenient and safe customs clearance for import-export goods during the peak season at the end of the year, the branch has directed its subordinate customs units to synchronously deploy many solutions, focusing on 3 key groups of tasks such as increasing force deployment, extending working hours, organizing flexible work, including outside of office hours, holidays when the number of vehicles suddenly increases and assigning officers on duty at the border gate area to promptly handle arising problems; promoting the application of information technology, reforming administrative procedures, maintaining the stability of the VNACCS/VCIS system, encouraging enterprises to declare in advance, reducing customs clearance time; Closely coordinate with functional forces at the border gate to provide information, regulate vehicles, support cargo flow, ensure security and order, and prevent congestion at the border gate area, especially during peak hours. At the same time, the branch strengthens dialogue with businesses, grasps actual needs and difficulties, promptly resolves problems arising in the import and export process, aiming at the goal of "fast customs clearance - close supervision - good service for businesses" during the peak season at the end of the year.
Along with that, the Management Board of Dong Dang - Lang Son Economic Zone and the border guards at the border gates have increased their information monitoring and proactively developed plans to regulate traffic; the Department of Industry and Trade has also accelerated the issuance of certificates of origin (C/O) for import-export enterprises.
Mr. Hoang Cao Thuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: Since being decentralized and authorized to issue C/O certificates (September 1, 2025), the department has directed specialized departments to carry out streamlined procedures for receiving, checking and submitting C/O certificates for enterprises. In addition to working days during the week, the department has directed specialized staff in charge to work on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring that no enterprise's documents are late or overdue. From September 1 to now, the department has issued over 7,700 C/O certificates to enterprises, thereby contributing to speeding up progress and improving the efficiency of customs clearance of goods.
From the beginning of October 2025 to now, the total number of vehicles carrying import and export goods through the province's border gates has reached 32,496 vehicles, an increase of 28% over the same period in 2024; the average is 1,710 vehicles; the average clearance efficiency in October 2025 is 2% higher than the average efficiency of 10 months in 2025 and about 32% higher than in the first quarter of 2025. Thanks to that, the turnover of goods declared at the Customs Branch of Region VI from mid-September 2025 to now has reached 961.61 million USD, an increase of 1.97% over the previous months.
We believe that with the efforts of the sectors, functional forces in the border gate area and the initiative of enterprises, customs clearance activities will take place quickly and smoothly. Thereby, contributing to attracting and creating trust for import-export enterprises, promoting the economic growth of the province.
