Nearly 120 billion VND bridge in Bac Ninh opens to traffic after more than 3 years of delay

After more than 3 years of delay, the construction project of Net Bridge, on Provincial Road 295, connecting Tu Son City and Yen Phong District, Bac Ninh, has officially opened to traffic.

This morning (January 1, 2025), the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province held a ceremony to open Net bridge, on provincial road 295, connecting Tu Son city with Yen Phong district.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (right) and leaders of Bac Ninh province presented gifts to households that handed over the land early, creating conditions for project completion.

The Net Bridge construction project with a total investment of nearly 120 billion VND was implemented from September 2020 and is expected to be completed in December 2021.

However, due to land issues, the project has been delayed for more than 3 years. By September 2024, the land issues will be completely resolved by the local authorities.

As soon as the site was handed over, the Department of Transport of Bac Ninh province directed the investor, the Bac Ninh Transport Construction Project Management Board, and contractors to concentrate human resources, materials, and machinery to carry out construction in three shifts and four shifts to speed up the construction progress.

Delegates and people performed the opening ceremony of Net Bridge.

Up to now, the project has completed 1/2 of the left side of the route, meeting the traffic safety conditions to organize the opening ceremony. The opening of Net bridge will contribute to connecting trade and promoting socio -economic development in Tu Son city and Yen Phong district, Bac Ninh province.

Speaking with Giao Thong Newspaper reporters, the leader of the Bac Ninh Traffic Construction Project Management Board said: Immediately after the opening ceremony, the unit will direct the contractor to continue construction, soon put the bridge unit on the right side of the route into operation, better serving the needs of travel and goods circulation in the area.
