Nghe An province celebrates the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union

On the side of Nghe An province, attending the ceremony were comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Building Committee, Provincial Party Committee Office, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, National Assembly Delegation Office and Provincial People's Council.

The delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of Vietnamese women through the ages. At each stage of the country's development, Vietnamese women have left their mark with typical movements, typically: "Three responsibilities", "Five good women", "Good at public affairs, good at housework"...

Born and grown up with the women's movement nationwide, over the past 95 years, Nghe An Women's Union has united and gathered women of all walks of life to promote good traditions: courage, sacrifice, intelligence, self-reliance, hard work, creativity, overcoming all difficulties and challenges... making worthy contributions to the cause of national liberation, construction, protection and innovation of the homeland and country.

In the past 5 years (2020-2025), Nghe An Women's Union has carried out nearly 3,955 projects to participate in new rural construction, 1,096 start-up ideas, provided consulting and job introductions to 41,403 female workers, established 19 cooperatives owned by women, 125 cooperative groups; sponsored 3,403 orphans under the program "Godmother - Connecting Love", built 375 new houses, repaired 35 charity houses... 138,870 households with poor and near-poor women were assisted by the Association, of which 4,530 households with women escaped poverty and near-poverty.

The contributions of the Nghe An women's movement have been recognized by the Party and the State. The Nghe An Women's Union was honored to receive the Third, Second and First Class Labor Medals, Third, Second and First Class Independence Medals; many Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit from the Government , the Central Union and the Provincial People's Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation acknowledged and commended the achievements and worthy contributions of the Association, generations of Association officials and women in the whole province to the development of the country and the homeland.

Entering a new stage of development of the country, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Vo Thi Minh Sinh requested that all levels of the Union and each cadre, member and woman need to continue to improve the qualifications and capacity of the cadres, members and women to confidently rise up and assert themselves in all fields. Actively participate in production and business, proactively rise up to escape poverty, develop the economy and enrich themselves legitimately.

Promoting internal strength, diligence, hard work and perseverance in production and labor, successfully implementing the transformation of economic structure, crop - livestock structure, occupational structure, and labor in the agricultural sector and rural areas; applying digital transformation in promoting and consuming local OCOP products.

At the same time, the Women's Union at all levels needs to focus on promoting women's awareness of preserving the good traditional qualities of Vietnamese women; inheriting and promoting the good traditional values of Nghe An women; at the same time, adding new values about the standards and moral qualities of Vietnamese women in the new era "Confident, self-respecting, loyal, and responsible".

Emphasizing that the development and progress of women is closely linked to the sustainable development of each family, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh hopes that Women's Unions at all levels need to pay attention to propaganda and guidance for members on family building, affirming the role of women in preserving the foundation of family happiness and contributing to the prosperity of society.

At the same time, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh suggested that the association should continue to innovate its content and methods of operation to suit the new context and new situation of the two-level local government. The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that it is necessary to set out goals, directions and tasks for the coming time based on the needs, aspirations and practical interests of members and women, in line with the political tasks and characteristics of the locality. In particular, it is necessary to focus on consolidating and perfecting the grassroots organization of the Association to be comprehensively strong, innovating the form of gathering members, strengthening close contact with the grassroots, promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of members; proactively and actively advising Party committees and authorities at all levels to take care of developing female human resources.

The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province will create favorable conditions for the Provincial Women's Union to organize propaganda work well, mobilize women to carry out movements, care for their lives, solve employment problems and protect the legitimate rights of women. Pay attention to training, fostering and using female cadres in accordance with the new revolutionary stage.
