Nghe An Red Cross Society gives more than 100 million VND to people of Van Tu commune

On October 16, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Tu commune and the ALOBACSI health consulting channel in Ho Chi Minh City to present gifts to 20 households affected by storm No. 10 in Van Tu commune, Nghe An province.

Attending the program were representatives of Van Tu commune leaders and ALOACSI health consulting channel in Ho Chi Minh City.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts to 20 households, each with 5 million VND in cash. In particular, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhung's household in Tay Phu hamlet, who suffered from a serious illness and was in special difficulty, received 8 million VND in support.

During the recent storm No. 10, Van Tu commune was severely affected, many hamlets were completely isolated, many areas had long-term power outages, hundreds of houses had their roofs blown off and were severely damaged, many hamlets were deeply submerged in floodwaters, with estimated damage of more than 43 billion VND.

The households receiving gifts today are those who suffered heavy losses, are poor households and policy households with especially difficult circumstances in the commune. With the 5 million VND in support, the families pledged to make a living, raise livestock, grow crops or repair damaged houses.
