Saigon Newport Corporation honors more than 400 outstanding workers

On the evening of March 14, in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Newport Corporation held a meeting to celebrate the 36th anniversary of its traditional day (March 15, 1989 - March 15, 2025) and the 16th Saigon Newport Family Day.

This is the annual traditional cultural event of the Corporation to continue to preserve, consolidate and promote typical cultural values, creating solidarity and closeness between generations in the Saigon New Port Family, building a common home - the Saigon New Port Family "Exemplary, harmonious, happy, progressive".

After 36 years of construction, development and growth, Tan Cang Saigon has always been active, proactive and creative in international integration. It is a pioneer in applying information technology and digital transformation in production and business labor. Tan Cang Saigon has always operated effectively and is one of the leading enterprises in the country. Tan Cang Saigon currently accounts for more than 55% of the country's import-export container market share. It contributes significantly to connecting the circulation of goods, developing the sustainable maritime economy , promoting the country's industrialization and modernization and the process of international economic integration.

Along with economic development, Tan Cang Saigon always effectively carries out the movements of "Repaying gratitude", "Elimination of hunger and poverty reduction", showing gratitude to Heroes, martyrs, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and those who have contributed to the revolution, further enhancing the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers".

Colonel Nguyen Nang Toan, Party Secretary and Chairman of Saigon Newport Corporation, shared the proud milestones of the unit.

Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Nguyen Nang Toan emphasized: In 2024, Saigon New Port recorded brilliant historical achievements with the total system output reaching 11 million TEUs. Revenue exceeded 32,000 billion VND, profit nearly 7,200 billion VND. Average income of employees reached over 37 million VND/person/month. Saigon New Port has ensured a stable life for more than 7,500 officers and employees. The Corporation was awarded the title "Hero of Labor" for the second time; the title "National Brand" for the eighth consecutive time; and the title "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers" for the sixth time.

The above achievements create important momentum for Tan Cang Saigon to become a Marine Economic Corps. Not only a leading enterprise in the seaport and logistics services industry, Tan Cang Saigon will expand its scope of operations, exploring strategic areas such as investing in industrial park development, island tourism services, and exploiting offshore renewable energy.

36 outstanding officers and workers were honored as "Outstanding Members" on this occasion.

On this occasion, Saigon New Port awarded 36 outstanding members; 321 outstanding employees; 7 outstanding initiatives; 30 outstanding faces of trade unions, youth and women; and commended 29 employees who overcame difficulties to successfully complete their tasks.
