Average income of workers increased to 8.4 million VND/month

The average income of workers in the third quarter of 2025 is 8.4 million VND/month, an increase of 124 thousand VND compared to the second quarter of 2025 and an increase of 748 thousand VND compared to the same period in 2024.

According to the General Statistics Office, the average income of workers in the third quarter of 2025 is 8.4 million VND/month, an increase of 124 thousand VND compared to the second quarter of 2025 and an increase of 748 thousand VND compared to the same period in 2024.

Of which, the average income of male workers is 9.3 million VND/month, female workers is 7.1 million VND; the average income of workers in urban areas is 10 million VND/month, in rural areas is 7.2 million VND/month.

The unemployment rate among working-age people in the third quarter of 2025 was 2.22%, down 0.02 percentage points compared to the previous quarter and down 0.01 percentage points compared to the same period last year, of which the urban area was 2.73%; the rural area was 1.86%.

The unemployment rate among working-age people in the first 9 months of 2025 was 2.22%, down 0.04 percentage points over the same period last year, of which the urban area was 2.53%; the rural area was 2%.

According to data from the General Statistics Office, the country's labor force aged 15 and over in the third quarter of 2025 is estimated at 53.3 million people, an increase of 254,500 people compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 583,600 people compared to the same period last year.

In the past 9 months, the number of employed workers was 52 million, an increase of 552,300 people compared to the same period last year. Of which, the number of employed workers in urban areas was 20.4 million, an increase of 644,800 people compared to the same period last year; the number of employed workers in rural areas was 31.6 million, a decrease of 92,500 people.
