Many gifts come to orphans and children in difficult circumstances from "Godmothers"

Joining the bustling atmosphere of the new school year opening ceremony, the Women's Union at all levels of Ha Tinh province simultaneously organized many meaningful activities, giving practical gifts to support disadvantaged students in the area. This is one of the key activities responding to the program "Godmother", "Helping children go to school".

With the motto of not letting any student drop out of school due to circumstances, the Women's Union at all levels from the province to the grassroots in Ha Tinh province has actively mobilized resources from benefactors, businesses and women's union members to prepare hundreds of gifts including books, school supplies, uniforms, cash, etc. The gifts, though small, contain great sentiments and are a timely source of encouragement to help students feel more confident on their journey to conquer knowledge.

In Huong Khe commune, the Commune Women's Union coordinated to present 9 gifts worth 8.3 million VND to orphans and children in difficult circumstances in the area before the new school year 2025-2026.

In Co Dam commune, on the morning of September 5, the Women's Union of the commune presented 18 gifts worth 5.4 million VND to disadvantaged students on the occasion of the Opening Ceremony at a number of schools in the commune.

On the same day, the Women's Union of Son Hong commune coordinated with the Son Hong Border Guard Station to give gifts and sponsor 7 sponsored children with a total amount of 14 million VND. Ms. Nguyen Thi No - President of the Women's Union of Son Hong commune - shared: "We hope that these gifts will be a motivation and support for the children to go to school with peace of mind, try to study well so as not to disappoint the expectations of their families and the community."

Previously, on August 21, the Women's Union of Ha Tinh province coordinated with agencies, businesses, and philanthropists to organize the program "Awarding scholarships and sponsorship funds to children in difficult circumstances" on the occasion of the new school year 2025 - 2026. The program awarded 59 gifts and sponsorship funds for the third and fourth quarters, with a total value of more than 172 million VND.

The Women's Union coordinated with Son Hong Border Guard Station to give gifts to children sponsored by the Union and the Station.

The gifts include cash, school supplies, toys... to provide more conditions and motivation for the children to confidently enter the new school year, overcome difficulties, and strive to study well. In particular, Hoang Gia Phat Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company has announced its decision to provide long-term sponsorship for 10 orphans with especially difficult circumstances in the communes and wards of Song Tri, Vung Ang, Toan Luu, and Thach Xuan with a support level of 420 million VND, committed to maintaining until the children turn 18 years old.

The gift-giving activities at the beginning of the new school year of the Ha Tinh Women's Union at all levels not only have the meaning of material support but also of sharing, adding confidence and strength to students when entering the new school year.
