The final round of the Asian Futsal Championship will take place from January 27, 2026 to February 7, 2026, in Indonesia. As the host of the final round, the Indonesian futsal team will of course be the first to participate in this tournament.
However, up to this point, no other team has been confirmed to qualify. According to the regulations of the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship qualifying round, the top 8 teams in the qualifying round will qualify directly to the final round. Then, 7/8 second-placed teams with the best results will get a play-off ticket to Indonesia early next year.

Currently, none of the eight qualifying groups is certain to win the top spot. Most of the group winners and runners-up will face each other in the final round of qualifying matches, taking place tomorrow (September 24).
Only after these direct confrontations, between the group winners and the group runners-up, can we accurately determine the top teams of the qualifying groups.
In addition, since Group D (including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Chinese Taipei and Pakistan) will not take place until October in Saudi Arabia, the basis for determining the position for the best second-placed teams is not solid.
Furthermore, in group H, because this group only has 3 teams (Myanmar, Afghanistan and Maldives), when considering the results between the second-placed teams, the results of the second-placed teams in groups A, B, C, D, E, F and G (groups with 4 teams), with the last-placed team in these groups, will be cancelled.

Then, some very big wins of a few teams against weak opponents at the bottom of each table will become meaningless.
However, considering what happened in the first two matches and considering the strength of the teams, the following names have a very high possibility of leading the groups when the qualifying round ends.
Those teams themselves are also leading their groups after the first two matches, including Australia ( world rank 53, group A), Thailand (world rank 11, group B), Japan (world rank 13, group C), Vietnam (world rank 26, group E), Uzbekistan (world rank 19, group F), Iran (world rank 5, group G) and Afghanistan (world rank 33, group H).
The above teams only need to draw with the second-placed teams in the group, including Kuwait (ranked 43rd in the world, group A), South Korea (ranked 73rd in group B), Tajikistan (ranked 46th in group C), Lebanon (ranked 54th in group E), Kyrgyzstan (ranked 49th in group F), Malaysia (ranked 81st in group G) and Myanmar (ranked 56th in group H), to be the top teams in the group and qualify for the final round.
Some of the teams leading the qualifying groups, such as Iran, Japan, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam, are also among the strongest men’s futsal teams in Asia at the moment. It would be a huge surprise if these teams could not be present at the continental finals early next year.
