Ha Long City: Celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding and awarding the Decision to admit 95 new Party members

On the morning of February 3, the Standing Committee of the Ha Long City Party Committee solemnly held the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025) and presented the Decision to admit the "95-year Party Member Class" with the theme "Youth dedicated to the Party".

At the commemorative program, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of 95 years of the founding and revolutionary leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the heroic historical milestones of our Party, the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary heroes. At the same time, they reviewed the tradition and achievements of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee.

The delegates also reviewed the history of the Ha Long City Party Committee. Accordingly, since the establishment of the Hon Gai Mine Party Cell - the first Party Cell of Ha Long City (October 1930), which developed into the Hon Gai Mine Party Committee, up to now, through 25 congresses, the Ha Long City Party Committee has firmly overcome difficulties, bringing the city to comprehensive development in all fields. In particular, in the past 10 years, the city's economic scale has increased, with an average annual growth rate of over 16%; budget revenue has increased annually and contributed nearly 50% of the province's total revenue; per capita income has reached over 17,000 USD (10 times higher than in 2004 and more than 3 times the national average); the city has completely eliminated poor and near-poor households, and children in difficult circumstances have been sponsored until they are 18 years old.

Speaking at the Celebration Ceremony, Comrade Vu Quyet Tien, Secretary of the Ha Long City Party Committee, emphasized: Continuing the achievements of our Party over the past 95 years and preparing the best conditions to hold Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, in 2025, Ha Long is determined to build a city that develops comprehensively, strongly and makes breakthroughs in the new era with 8 core orientations, including: Taking party building, streamlining the organizational apparatus and improving the quality of the staff as the key; taking human development and improving people's lives as the goal; taking innovation, developing green economy, digital economy, heritage economy as the breakthrough; taking infrastructure development, synchronous and modern administrative reform to build a model urban city as the goal; taking the exploitation of internal resources as the decisive, strategic, long-term decision and external resources to create new breakthroughs; taking the development of education and training, attracting high-quality human resources; Applying science and technology and digital transformation as driving forces; taking cultural development, building ecological civilization, and environmental protection as the foundation; ensuring national defense and security as essential and regular tasks.

The goal is to build a “Model, rich, beautiful, civilized, and affectionate” city, a city of innovation and creativity, a Heritage city of flowers and festivals. Thereby, together with Quang Ninh province and the whole country, we will firmly enter a new era - an era of strong, civilized, and prosperous development of the nation.

Immediately after the Anniversary Ceremony, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee also announced and awarded the Decision on Party membership to 95 outstanding masses of the "95-year Party Member Class". These are all outstanding union members and youth union members of agencies, units and localities who have gone through the process of striving, training, asserting themselves, having many achievements in labor, study and work, well implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and have been trusted by the collective to be recommended by the Party for consideration of admission.

Being awarded the Decision on admitting Party members at the 95th Anniversary of the Party's Founding Day is a meaningful and memorable event for the Party members who are awarded the Decision; it helps to arouse pride and motivate cadres and Party members to continue to strive to compete in production, study, work and strive to practice revolutionary ethics, join hands to build the homeland of Quang Ninh and Ha Long City into a model, rich, beautiful, civilized and modern one.
