Ho Chi Minh City calls on businesses to join hands to build a strong economy and a stable social security.

Unable to rely solely on economic growth, Ho Chi Minh City needs the support of the business community in infrastructure investment, modern urban construction, training high-quality human resources and ensuring social security for sustainable development.

In the urgent atmosphere before the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, working groups No. 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Ho Chi Minh City delegation on October 12 visited and surveyed the economic development model of Becamex Group, after experiencing the reality at the "super milk factory" Vinamilk in Binh Duong ward.

At the same time, other working groups of the delegation also visited many typical economic, cultural and social locations of Ho Chi Minh City after the merger such as: Zalo headquarters ( VNG Campus building), Naval Region 2 Command, Gemalink Port and Phu My 3 Specialized Industrial Park.

At the working session with Becamex at the WTC International Exhibition and Convention Center (Binh Duong Ward), Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of the group in the development of traffic infrastructure, industry, urban areas and social security work of Ho Chi Minh City.

She emphasized that Becamex is one of the pioneering enterprises in developing industrial parks associated with green, clean, modern urban models in the northern region of Ho Chi Minh City, and at the same time plays an active role in training high-quality human resources through the Eastern International University - a highly regarded unit in the system of universities in the southern region.

With the above efforts, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee hopes that the group will continue to accompany state-owned enterprises in the area, participate in developing the business ecosystem, typically promoting new generation industrial parks. It is expected to contribute to the successful implementation of the City Party Committee's action program on implementing Resolution 68, towards effective and sustainable private economic development.

Ms. Bach Tuyet also shared her hope that the group will continue to promote its capacity in the fields of infrastructure, transportation... while focusing on the lives and welfare of workers, contributing to ensuring social security and urban development.

Committed to creating new breakthroughs with Ho Chi Minh City

In front of the delegates of Ho Chi Minh City delegation, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Becamex Group - affirmed that the group will continue to accompany Ho Chi Minh City in finding optimal solutions, contributing to breakthrough programs in the new development stage.

During the regional planning process, the group conducted thorough research, identifying both opportunities and challenges, but opportunities prevailed. Large enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City are receiving strong attention and direction, creating conditions to promote their roles.

On the occasion of the upcoming 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, Mr. Hung hopes that the private economic sector will continue to be facilitated to promote its strengths and contribute more to the country.

Becamex continues to affirm its leading role in infrastructure and industrial development in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region, while expanding investment to many localities, with an ecosystem of 21 industrial parks.

According to the annual report, the group is currently implementing many key transport projects with a total capital of nearly VND 56,500 billion, including: Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4, Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, My Phuoc - Tan Van route (public-private partnership, PPP) and upgrading National Highway 13, to strengthen regional connectivity and attract investment.

Regarding the business picture, in the first half of 2025, the enterprise reaped a profit after tax of nearly 1,850 billion VND, an increase of more than 450% over the same period. Assets reached 57,600 billion VND, equity of more than 21,700 billion VND.

After nearly 50 years, from a small enterprise, Becamex has become Vietnam's leading corporation in the field of industrial park and urban infrastructure development, making an important contribution to the economic strength of Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country.
