Ho Chi Minh City starts construction of Tan Chanh Hiep Park

The project aims to create green space, contribute to completing technical infrastructure, improving the quality of life and urban landscape for the Northwest area of ​​Ho Chi Minh City.

On the morning of October 13, the Management Board of Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects of Ho Chi Minh City held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tan Chanh Hiep Park Construction Project (Tan Chanh Hiep fish pond area, Trung My Tay ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

The project has a total investment of more than 27.6 billion VND, using the city budget, with the goal of forming green space, contributing to the completion of technical infrastructure, improving the quality of life and urban landscape for the Northwest area of ​​Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh Dung, Director of the Project Management Board, said that the project has practical significance in welcoming the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

This project demonstrates the spirit of emulation and achievement, aiming to build an increasingly civilized, modern, clean and green city.

The project has an area of ​​1.69 hectares, including many main items: central yard, children's playground, multi-purpose sports field with an area of ​​about 3,414m²; public works area (resting hut, flower trellis, canopy, toilet) and internal traffic system of about 2,240m²; green tree planting area, ornamental plants and lawns occupy an area of ​​11,247m².

In addition, the park is also invested with automatic irrigation system, drainage, lighting, decoration and sports equipment, and games to serve the daily needs of the people.

The special highlight of the project is the design concept inspired by the image of “rice grains”, a symbol of abundance, solidarity and affection of the Vietnamese people. This image is expressed by multi-directional elliptical panels, associated with the concept of “holding rice in the hands of the people”, bringing a message of the spirit of sharing, kindness and solidarity in the community. The park not only has aesthetic value but also represents the unique and humane culture of Ho Chi Minh City – the city of affection.

The park is bordered by Nguyen Thi Bup street to the northeast, the Xuyen A resettlement area to the northwest, and the Ho Chi Minh City - Can Tho railway planning area to the south, creating favorable conditions for traffic connection and meeting the entertainment and relaxation needs of people in the area.

The investor representative affirmed that the project will be operated and managed transparently, scientifically , in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring quality, progress and labor safety throughout the construction process.

The Project Management Board will closely coordinate with the design consultant, supervisor and construction contractor, and proactively inform, create consensus among the people, and promptly resolve any arising issues to ensure the legitimate rights of the community.

Upon completion, Tan Chanh Hiep Park is expected to become the new “green lung” of the Northwest region of Ho Chi Minh City, contributing to improving the living environment, enhancing urban aesthetics and promoting local socio-economic development.

The Project Management Board would like to thank the city leaders, Trung My Tay Ward People's Committee, departments and local people for accompanying and supporting the project.

With the spirit of "serious work - responsibility - solidarity", the Management Board believes that the project will be constructed safely, on schedule, with high quality, completed and put into use soon, bringing a green - clean - beautiful space, connecting the community, true to the symbolic meaning of "grains of rice of love" in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.
