Ho Chi Minh City honors war invalids and exemplary policy families

On July 23, the delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, led by Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, visited and presented gifts to exemplary policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution in Xom Chieu, Vinh Hoi and Khanh Hoi wards. Activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

The delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Van Soan, a 4/4 disabled veteran, residing in Xom Chieu ward. Here, comrade Nguyen Phuoc kindly inquired about Mr. Nguyen Van Soan's health, diet, and daily activities. Mr. Soan is currently living with his wife and children. Mr. Soan's wife is also a 3/4 disabled veteran.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc sent his gratitude and wishes for good health, happiness and prosperity to Mr. Soan and his family.

The delegation also visited Mrs. Huynh Thi Tham, residing in Khanh Hoi ward. Mrs. Tham is a 4/4 disabled veteran and a 3/3 sick soldier. Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his joy at seeing Mrs. Tham's stable health, cheerfulness, and quick spirit.

Expressing gratitude for Mrs. Tham's contributions to the country, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc wished her good health, a happy life, continued attachment to the locality, and contributed to educating traditions for the younger generation.

On the same day, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to Mr. Pham Dinh Toan, resident of Vinh Hoi ward, a 4/4 war invalid and a resistance fighter who was imprisoned and exiled by the enemy. Listening to Mr. Toan's sharing about his days participating in the resistance, on behalf of the City's leaders, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc kindly inquired about his health and respectfully thanked Mr. Toan for his contributions to the cause of national liberation, as well as his contributions to the locality during peacetime.

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to the family of Mrs. Tran Thi Thin, residing in Vinh Hoi ward. Mrs. Thin is the mother of martyr Tran Nhat Tan. Currently, Mrs. Thin is in poor health, often sick, and has blurred vision so she cannot walk.

With the tradition of drinking water and remembering its source, at each place he visited, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed that on the occasion of July 27 every year, Ho Chi Minh City organizes delegations to visit people with meritorious services to the revolution and typical policy families. This is an activity to repay gratitude, showing the gratitude of the Party Committee, Government and people of the City to people with meritorious services to the country.

Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc informed that the policy of gratitude and reward to those who have contributed to the country is the highest policy of the Party and is always implemented synchronously and regularly by the City.

Expressing his respect for the sacrifices of war invalids and families of policy beneficiaries for the country's national liberation revolution, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc affirmed that the city, leaders and people always remember that merit. He also requested the locality to pay special attention and take good care of the material and spiritual life of families of policy beneficiaries.
