
On the morning of October 11, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City launched the "Digital Education for All" movement for the 2025-2026 period, broadcast online to 168 wards, communes, and special zones.
Launching the movement, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy emphasized that the core purpose of the movement is to popularize knowledge, equip basic digital knowledge and skills for all classes of people. The movement pays special attention to disadvantaged groups, helping them proactively access, exploit and use digital platforms to ensure that no one is left behind in the digital transformation process.
The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee hopes that the results of the movement will not only be measured by numbers but also by changes in people's quality of life. That is when each elderly person can confidently use a smartphone to contact their children and grandchildren and perform online public services. Similarly, a small trader can put his products on the e-commerce platform. Students can easily access the endless store of human knowledge to learn and create.

Ho Chi Minh City aims that by 2026, 100% of adults will have basic knowledge of digital transformation, have digital skills, be proficient in using smart devices to exploit information, use essential digital service platforms and be confirmed to have universal knowledge of digital transformation on VNeID.
The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested agencies and units to focus on widely disseminating essential digital service platforms, providing instructions on using the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application, other important applications such as VNeID, VssID, E-tex, cashless payments, and digital signatures. At the same time, promoting the role of the community digital transformation team to "go to every alley, knock on every door" to support people in accessing digital technology .
In addition, replicate models such as digital family, digital ambassador, each citizen has a digital identity, especially the morning coffee model to exchange with people to popularize and update digital skills.

The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested agencies and units to focus on training and popularizing new skills such as artificial intelligence in life, work, study and public services.
He called on city residents to proactively participate in learning and practicing digital skills to turn the digital transformation process into an opportunity to improve the quality of life.

Speaking in response to the movement, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Minh Tuan called for promoting the core role of the staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front system and the city's socio -political organizations in propaganda, advocacy, supervision and mobilization of people to participate in digital transformation.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and its member organizations are determined to take the lead in synchronously and effectively implementing the "Digital Education for All" movement. This will involve mobilizing people of adult age to have basic knowledge of digital transformation, digital skills, and proficient use of smart devices to exploit information, platforms, and essential digital services, and to participate in interactions and safety in the digital environment.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center introduced and popularized essential digital platforms and services and provided instructions on how to use the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application.
Response activities will be organized simultaneously in 168 communes, wards, and special zones by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations. Community digital technology teams will guide people to install the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen application; give digital signatures to people; update electronic health books; install and look up essential applications such as VNeID, VSSID, E-tax.
