Screening of 5 films by People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh at the 2nd Da Nang Asian Film Festival

According to the Vietnam Film Institute, the second Da Nang Asian Film Festival 2024 (DANAFF II) will select outstanding, humanistic, and highly valuable cinematic works of Vietnamese cinema in terms of content and art to widely introduce to the public in this film screening program.

Le Do Cinema (46 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) is one of three cinemas that will show films by director People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh, starting from the afternoon of July 2.

Accordingly, the Vietnam Film Institute in coordination with the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association organized a program of screening selected films by director People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh within the framework of the second Da Nang Asian Film Festival.

Vietnam Film Institute provides 5 Vietnamese feature films with English subtitles, specifically: When October Comes (1984, produced by Vietnam Feature Film Studio, 82 minutes); Girl on the River (1987, produced by Vietnam Feature Film Studio, 95 minutes); Hanoi in Winter 1946 (1997, produced by Vietnam Feature Film Studio, 100 minutes); Guava Season (2000, produced by Thanh Nien Film Studio, 108 minutes); Don't Burn (2009, produced by Vietnam Cinema Association Film Studio, 102 minutes).

The above films will be shown from July 2-6 at Le Do Cinema (46 Tran Phu Street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City), CGV Vincom Da Nang Cinema (Room 1 - 4th Floor, Vincom Da Nang Shopping Center, Ngo Quyen Street, Son Tra District, Da Nang), Galaxy Da Nang Cinema (Room 2, 3rd Floor Coop Mart, 478 Dien Bien Phu, Thanh Khe, Da Nang) and outdoor mobile screenings.

The films shown in the above program are not shown for commercial purposes and are not popular on digital platforms and other transmission infrastructures.

Also within the framework of the second Danang Asian Film Festival, at 9:00 a.m. on July 4 at Furama Resort Danang, the Vietnam Film Institute in collaboration with the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association will organize an international seminar "The creative style of director Dang Nhat Minh".
