Entrepreneur and Book Week 2025: Honoring reading culture

The event aims to honor the spirit of reading and writing in the business community, while spreading the value of knowledge in business activities.

On October 9, at Ho Chi Minh City Book Street (Nguyen Van Binh Street, Ho Chi Minh City), the 2025 Business and Book Week opened.

The event aims to honor the spirit of reading and writing in the business community, while spreading the value of knowledge in business activities.

This is an annual program hosted by Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, in coordination with the Vietnam Publishing Association (Southern Representative Office), Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Company Limited and the Entrepreneur Book Council, organized since 2020.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's event is held to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2025) and the 73rd anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Publishing, Printing and Book Distribution Industry (October 10, 1952 - October 10, 2025).

The week has many special activities such as: Ceremony to honor "Top 10 Good Books written by Vietnamese Businessmen"; announcement of "Top 100 books worth having in corporate bookcases"; book exhibition "Uncle Ho with businessmen and businesses"; works in "Top 100 books worth having in corporate bookcases".

Mr. Tran Hoang, Editor-in-Chief of Saigon Entrepreneur Magazine, shared: “Through these activities, we hope to create opportunities for entrepreneurs to get closer to books, and at the same time encourage them to share knowledge and management experience. From there, we will spread the inspiration of lifelong learning, contributing to improving the competitiveness and sustainable development of Vietnamese enterprises.”

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Van Minh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, highly appreciated the program as it was organized at a time of important political and cultural significance.

Mr. Minh emphasized that the Central Government and Ho Chi Minh City have long had a policy of promoting reading culture, in which Ho Chi Minh City Book Street is an important center to spread this spirit to all classes of people. This is to encourage people to read books to improve their knowledge, contributing to the common development.

“Reading culture not only helps workers expand their knowledge to build strong businesses but also enriches the country’s economy . The mission of the business community is not only to enrich materially but also to enrich the knowledge of workers,” said Mr. Minh.
