In mid-September, at the Le Thuy Center for Culture, Information and Communication, the Le Thuy Folk Song Artists Club organized an exchange program with 14 participating folk culture clubs, notably the presence of the Song Hien Folk Song Club from Vinh Linh commune. Coming to the exchange program, the Song Hien Folk Song Club participated with 20 members, including the advisory board. Before the official exchange took place, the Club members took advantage of the time to practice with an excited and eager spirit. Both performances of the Club were Binh Tri Thien folk songs, in which one special performance combined and intertwined the Quang Tri rice pounding song and Le Thuy folk song. This was the impressive highlight of the program.
Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thanh Hong, Head of the Song Hien Folk Song Club (Vinh Linh Commune) happily shared that this is a very meaningful playground for folk culture clubs in Quang Tri province to participate in exchanges, sharing, strengthening solidarity and connection between clubs and artisans, as well as those who are passionate about traditional folk arts. The two provinces of Quang Tri and Quang Binh (old) have common features of rice pounding songs and Le Thuy drill songs, so the exchanges are a golden opportunity to learn and exchange, from which the two national intangible cultural heritages are better known, and have more space to spread traditional values.

Participating in the program and performing in a performance of the Le Thuy Ho Khoan Artists Club, Mr. Hoang Minh (Hieu Giang commune) had very special feelings. He confided that he was originally from Cam Lo commune, living in Hieu Giang commune, but because of his love for Le Thuy Ho Khoan, he followed the Club for a long time. This was his second performance with the Club. In the coming time, he will continue to be a "bridge" between the two lands, bringing the heritage of Le Thuy Ho Khoan and Quang Tri Rice Grinding Ho to the people, especially the young generation. Thereby, contributing to preserving and promoting the value of the heritage.
It can be said that the exchange program aims to preserve and promote the value of Le Thuy's Ho Khoan heritage; create a space for exchange, discussion and learning between clubs, contributing to improving the capacity to practice heritage. Thereby, fostering love for homeland, country, national pride and building a rich and healthy cultural and spiritual life. With the presence of Song Hien Folk Song Club, the program is also a "bridge" between national heritages (Le Thuy's Ho Khoan and Quang Tri's Ho Gia Gao), between clubs and artisans in Quang Tri province, strengthening solidarity, cohesion, opening up many further connection opportunities. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for Le Thuy audiences to learn more about Quang Tri's Ho Gia Gao.
According to Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Ly (artist Hai Ly), Head of the Le Thuy Ho Khoan Artisan Club, participating in the exchange, the clubs brought unique and attractive performances of Le Thuy Ho Khoan, Binh Tri Thien folk songs... which were highly appreciated by the audience. Many performances showed elaborate investment in costumes, props and careful, meticulous practice, harmoniously combining many genres of Binh Tri Thien folk songs, highlighting the beauty of Le Thuy Ho Khoan. In particular, the performance combining Le Thuy Ho Khoan and Quang Tri Rice-pounding Ho by the Song Hien Folk Song Club received enthusiastic cheers.

“In the near future, the Club hopes to continue to receive attention and support from the Party Committee, local authorities, organizations, unions and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to spread the value of Le Thuy folk songs to the people, especially after the merger as it is now. The Club's orientation is to further promote the transmission of folk songs heritage to young people, especially in schools with creative and effective methods,” added Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Ly.
The success of the exchange program comes from the enthusiasm, efforts, and high sense of responsibility in the organization process of the Le Thuy Ho Khoan Artisan Club. Along with that is the active, enthusiastic participation and not afraid of difficulties of the folk culture clubs. Especially the active support from the Party Committee, the government of Le Thuy commune, the Le Thuy Center for Culture, Sports and Communication so that not only the exchange programs between the clubs but also many other activities to preserve and promote heritage values are effectively implemented. Deputy Director of the Le Thuy Center for Culture, Sports and Communication Ha Van Lam said that in the past time, the unit has created all conditions for the folk culture clubs in the area to participate in training, fostering, transmitting, connecting heritage, especially exchange programs, exchanges, sharing... Besides Le Thuy Ho Khoan, other cultural heritages are also preserved, promoted and continue to be promoted, introduced, and spread to the people.
It is expected that in the coming time, there will be more meaningful exchange programs implemented in Quang Tri province so that heritage values continue to be preserved and promoted, supporting the local tourism development efforts.
