Speaking at the press conference of the 2025 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament, Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Vice President of the Vietnam Football Federation - affirmed the role and commitment of VFF in providing professional support, with the goal of improving the quality and professionalism of the largest grassroots playground for workers.
Mr. Tran Anh Tu shared: “The tournament has many important meanings, not only in terms of sports but also in terms of society. This is a healthy playground for workers and civil servants to exercise, relieve stress after work, and at the same time strengthen the spirit of solidarity and cohesion in the collective.”
Professional imprint is increasingly clear
When asked about the role and professional contributions of VFF to the tournament in recent years, Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau - Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation - said: "This is the third year VFF has accompanied the tournament. We have seen that the professional quality has been constantly improved and enhanced through each season. This event has a strong influence in the community of workers, civil servants as well as in social life."
Mr. Chau emphasized that the role of VFF is not only limited to sponsorship but also deeply involved in professional organization. Specifically, VFF has closely coordinated with the organizing committee to develop and promulgate competition regulations appropriate to the nature of a grassroots tournament, ensuring fairness but still flexibility.
In addition, VFF also supports arranging match schedules, providing referees and professional supervision.
Towards the sustainable development of community football
Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau shared more about VFF's long-term vision for the Vietnam Football Championship for Workers and Civil Servants: "We hope to gradually make the tournament more and more professional. The success of the Football Championship for Workers and Civil Servants on a national scale will contribute to the overall development of Vietnamese football, starting from the foundation of community football and grassroots football."

“In its role as a professional supporter, VFF always places the highest responsibility on ensuring that matches are conducted in accordance with the law, safely and fairly. We believe that through this cooperation, the tournament will become increasingly better and more attractive, to truly become a big playground, a meaningful festival for workers across the country,” Mr. Tran Anh Tu affirmed.

In 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor , the Vietnam Football Federation and Tuoi Tre newspaper will jointly organize the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament.
Entering its third year of organization, the tournament has affirmed its position as an annual, prestigious playground for workers, civil servants and laborers across the country, contributing to promoting the movement of physical exercise and sports, improving the cultural and spiritual life of workers, civil servants and laborers in particular and the whole society in general.
This year's tournament is honored to receive the support of Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO); Dong Luc Sports Group; HTP Pharmaceutical Investment Joint Stock Company; Hoa Sen Group Joint Stock Company; Sunshine Group; Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO); Faslink Joint Stock Company; 108 Central Military Hospital; 175 Military Hospital and a number of enterprises.
The tournament announcement press conference will take place on September 16 in Ho Chi Minh City. This will be followed by the Northern regional qualifying rounds, which will take place over three days from September 26 to 28; the Southern regional qualifying rounds will take place from October 9 to 12. The tournament will conclude with the national finals, held in Ho Chi Minh City from October 24 to 26.
