Vietnam continues to strengthen its position as the world's leading coffee supplier.

Each country has its own unique characteristics regarding coffee types, but they all have one thing in common: they contribute to the diversity of the world coffee map as well as the development of the coffee industry.

Brazil continues to hold the "throne" in the world coffee industry with an output of 2.58 million tons in 2023.

In recent years, Vietnam has become one of the leading coffee exporting countries, with the second largest quantity in the world after Brazil, with 1.63 million tons.

With a particularly attractive aroma, dark roasted coffee beans, a light sour taste with a viscosity from Buon Ma Thuot Robusta coffee, Vietnamese coffee is often used to make rich and unique drinks. In 2023, Vietnam's coffee exports reached 1.63 million tons (about 27 million bags), down 8.7% compared to 2022 but up 4.6% in value, to a record of more than 4.24 billion USD.

Factors ranging from the variety of crops, soil properties, weather, sunlight, rainfall or even the altitude at which coffee grows all affect the flavor of coffee. While Vietnamese coffee is famous for its richness, the easy-to-drink sweetness has created a brand for Colombian coffee and put this country in third place (770 thousand tons) among the coffee exporting countries in the world./.
