Vinh Gia Commune started construction of U2 traffic bridge

On October 10, the People's Committee of Vinh Gia commune (An Giang province) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the U2 traffic bridge. Former Secretary of the District Party Committee and former Chairman of the People's Council of Tri Ton district (old) Cao Quang Liem; Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Vinh Gia commune Nguyen Van Be Tam attended the ceremony.

Delegates attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the U2 bridge.

The bridge across U2 canal (Giong Cat hamlet) was newly built to replace the degraded iron bridge. The new bridge has a concrete structure, 36m long, 3m wide, and a load capacity of 2.5 tons. The total construction cost is nearly 717 million VND, from socialized sources; of which, Antraco Joint Venture Company Limited supported 300 million VND, the rest was mobilized from people and businesses, and Bay Nui Construction Consulting Company Limited supported the construction.
