The exhibition "Miệt Islet" celebrating 10 years of Nguyen Minh Cong's activities opened on the evening of October 15 at the Southern Women's Museum (HCMC). The event space was built as a journey back to the river region, recalling rustic memories through the lens of contemporary fashion .

Runner-up - MC Che Nguyen Quynh Chau opened the show with a design called "Banh Xeo". The dress has a wide flared shape, the main yellow tone evokes the crispy layer of the cake, combined with green details of the accompanying vegetables.

Previously, Che Nguyen Quynh Chau and businessman Nguyen Ngoc Phat had set a wedding date for the end of October. Despite being busy preparing for the wedding, she still made time for work. Quynh Chau's appearance on the catwalk received many compliments for her radiant beauty before the big day.

Next, Miss Vo Le Que Anh appeared in the "Banh Khot" design. The body-hugging dress with a fishtail skirt accentuated the curves of the body. The meticulously crafted embellishments mimicking the shape of the Banh Khot, combined with the green tones of vegetables, brought a sense of closeness.

Wearing the "Banh Lot" costume, Miss Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Duy attracted attention with a white and light blue dress. The noodles are made from soft material, hand-sewn into graceful layers, evoking the cool and rustic feeling of the familiar cake.

Runner-up Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang performed the "Banh duc tendon" design, one of the most elaborate outfits in the collection. The entire dress used pleating techniques and layered color combinations, recreating the image of multi-layered banh duc slices, creating a vivid visual effect under the stage lights.

Runner-up Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao looks youthful in the "Heart Sandwich" design. The dress has a slightly puffy shape with embossed heart details, combined with a clever color-changing technique to create a lively feel.

Runner-up Pham Ngoc Phuong Anh impressed with the "Coconut Jam" design. The outfit has an eye-catching color combination, evoking the image of vibrant coconut jam strands. Soft twisted silk strips are hand-sewn, creating a sweet and elegant feeling.

Closing the show, Miss Luong Thuy Linh appeared in the "Rice paper basket" design. The white lace material was processed into layers, combining the technique of creating curves and light puffiness. Under the light, the fabric layers intertwined like thin rice paper threads, bringing a graceful and luxurious look.

Singer Phuong My Chi with the song "Song of the Southern Land" combined with the dance performance of Ly Cay Bong by child model Ruby Tam Nhi, contributed to portraying the rustic spirit and love for the homeland throughout the exhibition.

Nguyen Minh Cong said "Miệt Củ Lao" is not just a collection, but a way for him to tell his childhood story through fashion.
"I want to bring memories of the countryside, where the lights, the smell of tea, the music and the rustic cakes have nourished my soul, into each design. When I am mature enough in technique and creative thinking, I dare to turn them into the language of haute couture," he said.

According to Nguyen Minh Cong, incorporating everyday images such as food, markets, and streams into designs is a big challenge. Each outfit is edited multiple times to maintain a rustic spirit, while still achieving the aesthetics and artistry of high fashion.
