Design of Arsenal's retro jersey. |
It was an iconic period when the Gunners had a legendary squad, winning the FA Cup and League Cup double in the 1992/93 season. According to experts, Arsenal at that time wore one of the most beautiful shirts in history.
The 'Bring-Back' collection is described by adidas as a '1:1 recreation' of the shirt that is synonymous with North London football. The design features a distinctive red base, subtle vertical stripes, classic white sleeves, and adidas' red, blue and white three stripes running down the shoulders.
The thick V-neck collar, with red and blue trim, retains the original Highbury spirit. The adidas Equipment logo and sponsor JVC return with a nostalgic 3D effect, recreating every classic detail that makes "Gunners" fans fascinated.
Legend Ian Wright joins current stars Victor Gyokeres, Jurrien Timber, Katie McCabe and Kyra Cooney-Cross in the campaign. The collection goes on sale October 23.
Amid a bright present under Mikel Arteta, Arsenal hope the new adidas shirts - which are inspired by the illustrious Highbury past, will inspire a new generation of "Gunners" in their journey to conquer the first Premier League title since the 2003/04 season.
