Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper organizes Quang Tri Marathon 2024

Speaking at the press conference of the race, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper shared emotionally: “ Quang Tri Marathon 2024 is not simply a race. Quang Tri Marathon is a run of gratitude. Gratitude because Quang Tri is the land that has endured countless hardships and sacrifices of the Vietnamese people. Just counting the number of martyrs who have sacrificed and are resting in 72 martyr cemeteries in the province, the number has reached nearly 60,000 people”.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Quang Tri has been building a destination of peace , building a symbol of peace through the Festival for Peace. Quang Tri Marathon 2024 is expected to be a symbol of footsteps, the beat of connection, of peace.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper determined that each step of the athlete at "Quang Tri Marathon 2024 - Journey to the Land of Fire" carries the beat of love and sharing. Ticket sales of the race will be sent to the "Repaying gratitude" Fund of Quang Tri province to support and care for the lives of families of war invalids, martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution.

Through the festival, Quang Tri province wants to convey the message of honoring the value of peace, calling on everyone to join hands to fight, preserve and build a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable life for the homeland, country and humanity; commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the eternal existence of the Fatherland; commemorate the victims of war and the painful losses caused by war.
