Over 5,000 hectares of rice and crops damaged by storms and floods - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

From September 28 to October 1, due to the impact of storm No. 10, the whole province had 5,037 hectares of rice and crops flooded, broken and buried.

Many rice fields in the province are at risk of being lost due to flooding.

Of which, 2,364 hectares of rice were damaged; 2,673 hectares of crops were damaged; 553 hectares of annual crops (canna, beans, etc.) were flooded; 150 hectares of perennial crops (bamboo, star anise, cinnamon, etc.) were buried by landslides; and 130 hectares of fruit trees were flooded.

In addition, having learned from the experience of storm No. 3 in 2024, people proactively moved livestock and poultry to safe places before the impact of storm No. 10, so there was no damage to livestock.

Authorities support people in clearing the flow of water and protecting rice and crops from flooding.

Currently, local authorities are urgently mobilizing forces to coordinate with relevant units to carry out urgent tasks to support people in protecting crops from flooding and severe damage, reducing agricultural losses in the province.
